Sydney Harlequins Rugby Union Football Club was developed out of The Rugby Club in Sydney by a few of the locals.  It was always discussed that there was no team for the BEST clubhouse in the world. So Ross Hazlett & Angus Bruxner got a few of their mates together and formed a committee.

From that initial meeting the Sydney Harlequins RFC was born and commenced playing in the NSW Sub Districts Competition in 2004.

The inaugural year we fielded one team and made the finals.

2005 & 2006 saw our numbers increase and we fielded 3 grades in Division 4. Again we saw one team make the finals in each of these years, only to fall short of the elusive premiership.

2007 was a year of history for the Quins. We again fielded 3 grades in Divison 4. It was a trying year at times but the through perserverence of the club, our 3rd Grade side convincingly one the Walker Cup and created a significant piece of history for a relatively young club.

2008 looks like we will field 2 grades and indications from our initial pre-season work out are positive.
